Origin
HabeshaKitchen was founded in May 2025 in the city of Nice, in the south of France.
We began as a simple online spice shop, offering a curated catalog of Habesha spices—customers could choose their favorites, add them to their cart, and check out. That was it.
While this already sparked excitement, we quickly realized we could do so much more for the Habesha community in Europe. People love cooking and sharing Habesha dishes—and honestly, who doesn’t enjoy a comforting shiro with fresh injera on a Saturday evening?
With that in mind, we decided to pivot. HabeshaKitchen became more than just a spice shop—it evolved into a creative cooking experience, offering recipes, guidance, and inspiration to help the community bring Habesha flavors to life in their own kitchens.
